Miamira alleni (Ceratosoma alleni) is a species of colorful sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a shell-less marine gastropod mollusk in the family Chromodorididae.
Description
It has a variable color body: pale pink, orange-brown, or light purple with small white dots. The base of the foot is greyish. It has long appendages with numerous nodes that resemble soft corals. It has prolonged lateral extensions of the notum which contain glandular arrays on the ventral surface. Long appendages with numerous nodes are resemble soft corals. South East Asia (Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia)
Habitat
This species is found in shallow reefs in Southeast Asia. Miamira alleni has not been observed eating, but it is likely that it consumes sponges, like other Miamira species.
