Halichoeres nigrescens, or the bubblefin wrasse, is a species of salt water wrasse found in the Indo-West Pacific Ocean. Green body, pale red stripes along side that break apart and interconnect towards rear, dark stripe from snout to eye, black mark at base of pectoral fin, small black spot on upper tail base and yellow corners on tail fin. Juveniles with four white spots on side, which expand to become short vertical bars breaking the body stripes of adults.
