Lubricogobius exiguus is a species of gobies native to the western Pacific Ocean.

Description

This is small bright yellow fish with bluish or greenish black eyes having no scales and no sensory pores, but with sensory papillae on their heads. Pelvic fins with a well-developed frenum; anterior nostrils usually present (rarely absent on one side); dorsal and ventral edges of caudal peduncle strongly keeled.

Distribution

Western Pacific: Japan, Taiwan and New Caledonia.

Habitat

It is found in muddy sand substrates, hiding in rubble or debris at depths between 5-100 meters.
