Cinetorhynchus reticulatus is a species of shrimp belonging to the family Rhynchocinetidae.
Other names: Reticulated Hinge-Beak Shrimp or Reticulated Hingebeak.

Description

Cinetorhynchus reticulatus is a small shrimp, reach a maximum length of 7 centimetres. Variable local and regional patterns make visual identification difficult. It mostly has transparent red body with circular spotting, pale often vague whitish bands at posterior of carapace. Legs, tail and rostrum are banded. It has big green eyes.

Distribution

Cinetorhynchus reticulatus is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, including the Red Sea, also Japan and Hawaii.

Habitat

It inhabits caves, areas under overhangs, crevices, and holes in coastal reef structures.
