Enchelycore carychroa is a moray eel of the family Muraenidae.
Description
Their length is up to 34 cm, or just over one foot, making them the smallest member of their genus and among the smaller morays. Body is brown with rows of white spots on its jaw lines. It's jaw is arched.
Distribution and habitat
It found in the western Atlantic from Bermuda, southern Florida, the Bahamas, and the western Gulf of Mexico to Brazil, at depths of between 1 and 20 m.
The Caribbean chestnut moray inhabits coral and rocky reefs.
