Emblemaria sp is a species of marine fish from the family Chaenopsidae.

Description

It has light brown to orangish body with purple brown spots on cheeks, snout and brown patches on body; inner ring of iris reddish yellow, outer red; eyes with yellowish-brown bars beneath. Head is creamy yellow. Pectoral fins are bluish purple. Caudal fin proximal half brown, distal half with yellow upper rays and reddish lower rays. Ophioblennius stage 2.0 cm in SL. Cirri are creamy yellow with spots.

Distribution

East Atlantic Ocean: West Mexico.

Habitat

Inhabits areas with clear water, from rocky shores to coral reefs. Often lives in empty worm holes, coral rubble, or edges of channels where holes are available. Shy, leaves hole only for brief periods.
